Hey everyone. It's been forever, I know, I've had a bunch of RL stuff going on lately and I haven't even skimmed my flist in almost two weeks :(

Anyway, small parts of my RL stuff has actually been good:

Here is a song I recorded in my dining room. It's called The Gun. It's a bleak look at the end of SPN season two, and into season three. I wrote it after I watched the season two finale.

we're still searching
for something
a way to save both of our souls
from the cold harsh light
in the middle of the night



Well other than that I've been super busy, there don't seem to be enough hours in the day and none of those go toward computer time anymore. My life has been consumed by music- teaching, theory, guitar, writing, recording, arranging, exercising (yes, music related, gotta fit into the cute outfits, right?), etc.

I hope to be back soon, I miss everyone on my flist and send X's and O's to you all!

Thanks, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Now I can't feel too bad about asking you to spread it around ;D (ahaha, i don't think I've ever done a grinning wink before but I like it)

I thought it was something new, I've only ever heard comedy songs in fandom and I wanted to do something I could pass off for 'real art' in RL, so... :D

I'm downloading and will be able to listen to it later on. I can't wait though - I love the lyrics. Very much. They have a great deal of depth and for me, most of the time, the lyrics rather than the music are what will make me fall in love with a song. (This is something I tried and failed, writing a song for a story I wrote. I'm envious of your talent!)

I hope life is being kinder to you now, I'm sorry you seem to have been having some bad times lately. ~hugs~ And hey, I'm looking forward to seeing you back on LJ. OMGOMGOMG! Alright, I'm totally still spazzing over how perfect that was, but I'm going to try to be more coherent now.

Okay, first of all? WOW. Your voice is gorgeous, and beautifully, achingly expressive. I'm just absolutely in awe of the nuances it captured, the tone it evoked so fully and effortlessly.

Secondly? You are an extraordinary songwriter! The words and the melody were so incredibly solemn and powerful, and with your voice carrying it, it was just--it was haunting and exquisite.

Thirdly? You need to make, like, tons of CDs and become fabulously rich. Or, alternately, plz to be posting moar songs? I'll go get Sam and have him make puppy eyes at you, if I must. And if that doesn't work, I'll send Dean to you wearing nothing but a smile. (Aw, hell. Sam too. ^___~)

Anyway, this was lovely and I totally fangirl you more than ever. Mind if I go pimp this out on my journal?

And yes, I do need to make CD's and become fabulously rich. That's the plan, in general ;)
I will definitely have more songs up soon. I'm just putting on some finishing touches so there should be two or three more before long. (I wouldn't mind Dean, by the way, so you can get right on that- both would be nice, but I don't want to get too greedy)

Um, do I mind if someone starts telling other people how awesome I am?

Thank you. It made me cry when I wrote it, so I'm so happy that you get that raw feeling. I really wanted it to feel like the things they just never ever say- like maybe they don't even know how to put into words.
